DOA "High Extension"
(Slick Shorn to the Hip)

This March born ram lamb is showing amazing potential! He is loaded with extension, as his name implies, and has plenty of breed character.  He is Damned by a "Cinnamon" x "High Profile" daughter and sired by "Excalibur."  It is easy to see why this lamb is so jacked up and long handling if you recall the sheep in his pedigree.   This is the type of ram you can build a breeding program around.  I know we plan to.  I would suggest you come look at the other outstanding lambs like him.  We have a barn full of them.
Here at Double "O" Acres we still breed for length of loin, and thickness of rump. Bone and rib are still important to us but let's not get carried away.  Why pay $1.25/lb for what gets thrown away by the butcher?  We still plan on breeding them the way we always have, and I would suggest that you all do the same.  Trends come and go, but good sheep remain.

Our lambs will be youthful (honest aged) and the type that will go on and get better and better due to their long growth curve and the genetic power behind them.  They have the ability to grow and keep growing.  We did not get a lot of ewe lambs until the March group. Here is a good RR lamb. Futurity nominated.

We are very proud of these entries and are confident that these sheep have the genetic potential to continue growing and produce for their new owners with proper care.   See you all at the Sale or contact us or the sale management for mail bids if you can not attend the sale.
